Additional Information Dr. Christoforidis joined the Havener Eye Institute as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmlogy with the Retina Division in October 2006. Before coming to the Havner Eye Institute, Dr. Christoforidis was on staff at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Ophthalmology at Havard Medical School. Dr. Christoforidis receievd his B.A. and M.D. from The Ohio State University. Following his Internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, he completed his residency at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore, MD and his Research Fellowship at the National Eye Institute’s Ophthalmic Genetics and Clinical Services Branch in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Christoforidis went on to complete his Retina Research Clinical Fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, MA. He has had numerous publications and his research interest lies primarily with retinal vascular occlusions and imaging. |
